As millions were enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend, London’s emergency services was dealing with some serious incidents, including fatal stabbings and a rape in East London.

Reports say one killing took place outside St Paul’s Cathedral.

Two people were also shot and one stabbed in Barking in the early hours of Monday, May 2. A man in Forest Hill has also been left in a life threatening condition after being stabbed yesterday afternoon; a 39-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Family and friends of the victims have been left reeling by these tragic deaths and injuries with many others increasingly concerned about rising crime rates in the capital.
